A step towards sustainability

Karlsruhe, 24 June 2024: virtual7 is focusing on digitalization for a sustainable future by founding the “Customer Cluster Environment, Transport and Energy” and participating in the “LANIS Rheinland-Pfalz” project. The innovative “Landscape Information System LANIS Rhineland-Palatinate” offers a digital map service that provides comprehensive nature conservation information at the click of a mouse. By digitizing existing processes, paper-based processing is replaced by a more effective digital solution. This approach not only increases efficiency, but also supports other sustainability goals through innovative technological applications.

LANIS Rhineland-Palatinate: Digital platform for nature conservation

LANIS provides quick access to important geodata that is essential for compliance with legal requirements and the planning of environmental protection measures. By integrating extensive environmental data, LANIS creates a holistic picture of the environmental situation in Rhineland-Palatinate and supports well-founded decisions and efficient approval procedures.

Focus on data integration and quality

One focus of the project is seamless and loss-free communication within the various systems. This facilitates data exchange and collaboration in environmental protection. The continuous improvement of data quality ensures reliable information for experts and decision-makers. virtual7 modernizes existing systems and replaces paper-based processes with digital solutions. This leads to more resource-efficient working methods and supports the goal of promoting a more sustainable society through technological innovation. virtual7 integrates awareness of sustainability and environmental protection into its corporate strategy and demonstrates through the “LANIS Rheinland-Pfalz” project how information technology can contribute to overcoming ecological challenges. The founding of the Customer Cluster Environment, Transport and Energy underlines this commitment.
