(Kalrsruhe, 30.06.2022) From June 22 to 24, 2022, employees from all virtual7 locations gathered in Bad Soden for the first virtual7 conference since 2019. Participation in this year’s conference was subject to high security precautions. Employees were only allowed to attend after presenting a negative PCR rapid test. Expectations for the event were high and the joy of reuniting with colleagues was great. It was just like the old days – perhaps even a bit more special: informative presentations, exciting workshops, interesting discussions – and really spectacular keynotes.

The virtual7 conference is a combination of team building and specialist conference and is considered the annual highlight for the employees of virtual7 GmbH. The event had to be cancelled in 2020 due to a pandemic and could only take place as an online event in 2021. Accordingly, all employees were already looking forward to the first live event with almost all employees of the German and Romanian locations in advance. “Finally we could meet again, and live and in analog.” Expert knowledge, learnings and inspiration dominated the event. With 97 participants, it got really crowded, loud and simply great at the H+ Hotel in Bad Soden. As last year, Prof. Dr. Peter Parycek – member of the Digital Council of the Federal Government, Head of the Competence Center Public IT, opened the expert exchange with his keynote. He presented an overview of the digitalization landscape in Germany over the next 10 years and highlighted the cooperation within virtual7 GmbH as exemplary. A total of 37 presentations, speeches and workshops were prepared by employees from various departments and subject areas. The special feature of this year was that a second keynote by LinkedIn expert Britta Behrens highlighted the importance of social media, especially LinkedIn, for companies and inspired many of the participants in her workshop to update their LinkedIn profiles to ensure more visibility on the company account.

In addition to many familiar faces, it quickly became clear among the employees that many new team members have joined the team in the past two years and will also join virtual7 as digitalization experts in the coming months. Many an opportunity was therefore taken to make new contacts and drive internal projects forward
