Employees and experts in exchange on strategic topics
(Karlsruhe, 14.07.2022) As in previous years, the middle of the year 2022 was dominated by the strategy process of virtual7 GmbH from 05.07. to 07.07.2022. The aim was to put the company’s strategy to the test.
The three-day strategic arena serves to illuminate the strategic orientation of the company. Strategic topics such as the process landscape, company organization and structure, and employee satisfaction were addressed. A special feature of this year’s strategy process was the participation of Harald Felling, CEO of ]init[ AG for digital communication in Berlin. As an expert on key topics from Germany’s public sector, Felling was able to provide important input on strategy-relevant topics. In addition, employees were able to ask strategic questions and exchange ideas with the expert.
The topics to be discussed were selected by the employees. In addition to responsive corporate organization and error culture, the topics covered included the company’s external image and visibility. Other key topics included the optimization and consistency of the cost structure as well as necessary adjustments related to the hybrid way of working. Expanding the level of seniority in the company and the necessary development opportunities for juniors formed another topic area. In addition, the existing portfolio was reviewed and initial ideas for further business consulting offerings in the area of agility and process consulting were exchanged.
These topics will be worked on intensively in the coming months in Strategic Initiatives (SI). Strategic initiatives deal with issues that are important for the company from a strategic perspective. During the three days, small groups defined the purpose of each initiative, worked out initial focal topics and formulated goals. Selected roles that bring added value to the elaboration through expertise are invited to participate in the respective initiatives. They can accompany these on a voluntary basis.
The overall aim is to make the way of working within the Strategic Initiatives more agile. This year, the elaboration will take place on a quarterly basis and will be concluded with presentation phases.
