(Karlsruhe, ) virtual7 GmbH has won the internationally tendered framework agreement for IT services from the procurement office of the German Federal Ministry of the Interior (BMI).

On behalf of a number of offices, agencies and authorities, the BMI invited tenders for a framework agreement in the area of “Delivery Management”, for which virtual7 GmbH was able to apply successfully. Delivery management in this context does not mean the delivery of physical goods, but rather software provision that enables customers to work more progressively.

With the framework agreement won, virtual7 ensures that the authorized customers receive support in software development projects. The deployment of the delivery engineer and change manager will provide the foundation needed for development and operations to work together. This includes knowledge transfer and coaching of the customers’ employees as well as the existing knowledge of administrative structures in the government sector.
In addition, virtual7 is responsible for the problem and change management processes in the respective software development projects.

A total of ten different offices, authorities and agencies are eligible for the call (for example, the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) or the National Anti-Doping Agency (nada)).

The present award procedure involves an estimated contract volume of 13,500 person-days.
